I'm sure you are wondering why i'm posting this or what your business is with my love for M.A.C lipsticks but i'm literally trying to convert you into a M.A.C lover. So I decided to put together a very little collection of a selected number of M.A.C lipsticks. A lot of people have complains about the price but from experience i've learnt not to ever put price over quality. Trust me I used to have a lot of funny lipsticks that I used to buy cuz it was cheap and the day i tried M.A.C i just took my mind of the other ones immediately. My first M.A.C lipstick i bot was the russian red and that was in 2012 and its not close to finished thats to show you how long it lasts.
1. Cream cup
A lot of dark skinned girls always come up to me and ask me the kind of lipstick to buy and I always refer them to 'cream cup' its too amazing trust me. I literally tricked my sister into giving me this lipstick, I used it all the time. Even though this lipstick scored 4.3 over 5 in makeupalley.com a lot of people still complain about the application. The lipstick is quite tricky as sometimes it could look nude and it could look pink it just depends on the application. If you are a learner as regards makeup like me, i'll advice you use a light brown lip liner i.e M.A.C's CORK
2. CYBER
I'm personally a big fan of this lipstick as i'm really into the purple color. Cyber is for the BOLD and it looks pretty amazing. It has this gothic feel that everybody is embracing but its not black. Its ofcourse one of my favourite colors and it has been really receptible as the demand is very high.
3. 'Girl About Town'
One thing I love most about this lipstick is that it blends well with other lipsticks. If you are after a particular shade of pink, you don't have to buy another one you could just mix it with another lipstick that you have and you are good to go. It is an amplified creme. From the ratings more than 88% of people would buy this lipstick again and it has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 so you are in good hands. Application can be tricky.
4. Up the Amp
PURPLE!!!!!!! M.A.C has a way of making you over spend or buy impusely. Their purple comes in so many awesome shades which makes it hard to choose from. Of all the colors my all-time favourite is this one. Trust no matter your skin color, you can never go wrong with this one the feel on the lips is so amazing, trust me a lot of girls and guys can attest to that. Its too beautiful. It scores as high as 4.7 out of 5.
5. Velvet Teddy
Nowadays a lot of people are embracing the calmer side of life. Like the nudes, light pink, light browns, peach, corals e.t.c and it is very convenient. If you are looking towards achieving a smokey eye make up and you do not want to be looking all kinds of scary, this lipstick will finish up your make up nicely and ofcourse no regrets whatsoever. It works with any form of eye makeup
6. Pink Nouveau
Light pink.....I mean whats not to love about it. This lippie is a satin lip stick and it is very gloss friendly. I usually advice dark skinned girls to go for this instead of the candy yum yum.
7. Candy Yum Yum
This is the matte version of the pink nouveau and its the barbie-pink kind of lipstick. Even when you visit the M.A.C outlets you would be advised to get the M.A.C's MAGNETA lip liner. It is not to chop your money its for your own good cuz this lipstick is not the easiest as regards application but when you got it , you just know and i strongly advice you moisturize your lips atleast 2 to 3 minutes before applying or else your lips will break and thats never cute.
8. Rebel
I personally choose not to say any further as the lipstick speaks for itself..yep its that major....
9. Burgurndy
This must have burdurndy rose color is perfect for confused people like myself. Sometimes you could be tired of the red lipstick and you just want something different but you dont know what that is and other times you want something in between gothic and classy. Then look no further this lipstick will sort you out.
10. So Chaud
Orange!!!!! you have to break out from the norm once or twice or thrice. A lot of people are embracing this color. Apart from the celebrities abroad our nigerian celebrities like Genevieve Nnaji, Sika Osei, Eku Edewor have opened up to this color so you are safe, light skinned or dark-skinned. You may want to be careful when applying it cuz it is matte.
Amplified Creme. It cannot get any better. This lipstick apart from ruby woo is actually one of the highest in demand and it is very limited, application is amazing. You could make it look light pink, brown or nude depending on the amount you apply. The model has on a lip liner by M.A.C (CORK) .
12. Russian RED
This lipstick cannot be mistaken for the ruby woo or should not be mistaken for ruby woo as it has darker under tones as compared to ruby woo. It is equally matte and it has a touch of class to it. It is my first love as regard M.A.C lipstick. It was my first love. lol
13. High tea
It literally looks like tea and I hate tea but I love this one. It is very settled and it really speaks a lot about the person wearing it. Its a love at first sight kind of lipstick. It is a lustre and it has gold finish.
You have no idea whatsoever about makeup if you have not met Ruby woo. It is a must have everybody should own one. You never get it wrong with ruby woo. Its a beauty in its own. It has a way of making one look extra classy and sophisticated. You know when they say once you go black you never go back, once you use ruby woo its hard for you to change to another brand as per red lipstick. Be it day or night, ruby woo has got you covered.
The good thing about M.A.C is that you get a wide range to pick from. There are about a hundred and six M.A.C lipsticks and these are just fourteen. There are 2 M.A.C studios in Lagos and a couple abroad. I keep telling people that it really is not a waste, a waste is when in a year you've bought 5 red lipsticks cuz they won't last or cuz you are not satisfied......
